Teaching and Learning Lab (LLL)
The Teaching and Learning Laboratory (LLL) for Computer Science (DGI) is a facility where students studying to become DGI teachers can gain their first practical teaching experience by planning subject-specific lessons and teaching them to school classes.
For students the lab offers a wide range of opportunities to deepen their knowledge of familiar IT and media education content while fully concentrating on their respective topics. They gain valuable teaching experience and receive direct feedback and extensive support from other students on their teaching methods. In addition, small research projects based on their own teaching activities can be carried out.
The teaching and learning lab serves as a protected environment in which students can fully develop their skills. A wide range of subject-specific teaching media and STEM kits are provided in the lab for the implementation and planning of teaching units.
The teaching units take place on the premises of the Teaching and Learning Laboratory DGI at the University of Vienna, to which school classes are invited as part of excursions.
